A mess has happened with Marvel’s Midnight Suns date – New delay
It will be released initially only for Xbox Series, PS5 and PC
Take-Two and Firaxis Games have officially announced that Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be delayed further. Initially, the title was to be released in March 2022, but the company was not ready and so, it set the date as October 7. Now, it seems that the “chaos” with game delays continues, as it won’t even be available in October.
Take-Two revealed that the game will not be coming in October, and that not all versions will be released together. Specifically, the title is expected to hit store shelves within the next fiscal year, that is, before the end of March 2023. Only the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC versions have this release window. As for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions there is not even a date and we are going to find out in the future.
A few words about Marvel’s Midnight Suns:
In case you want to refresh your memory, in Marvel’s Midnight Suns players take on the role of Hunter. This is the first customizable hero in the Marvel universe, who came back to life after an eternal sleep, to take the leadership of the Midnight Suns. It is a team of beloved heroes from the Avengers, the X-Men, the Runaways and more. The Midnight Suns, therefore, are forced to unite to face Lilith, the mother of demons, as well as Hunter.
As for the gameplay, Marvel’s Midnight Suns promises an enjoyable, deep and highly customizable combat system that rewards clever thinking. Specifically, players will be able to choose up to three heroes to take with them into each battle, and their powers are represented by cards. Each character, including Hunter, has a unique set of cards that can be customized to suit the player’s playstyle. Beyond the cards, however, players will be able to use the environments where the battles take place in various ways, to always reach victory.
After completing the missions, players return to the Abbey, where they can develop their relationships and strengthen their bonds with some of the most beloved heroes of the Marvel universe, such as Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel and more. In practice the game is very reminiscent of XCOM, which is also developed by the same development team.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now due out by March 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch version to be announced in the future.
