Xbox’s Phil Spencer probably revealed something he shouldn’t have (PHOTO)
Take a closer look at his shelf…
Last March, a list of various names that had been “carved” by a dataminer, had made the rounds of the internet. This list contained various Xbox products, and among other things a “something” called ” Keystone ” had been discovered, a product that was under Microsoft ‘s “Durango” and “Scarlett” (codenames for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X) .
Microsoft had confirmed the existence of Keystone many months ago, but had remained silent since then. Keystone will essentially be a device from which the user will be able to enjoy their games via streaming. Now , Xbox boss Phil Spencer may have revealed the “Keystone” ahead of time, after posting a photo on Twitter that…lit fires!
It all started when Phil Spencer posted a photo on his Twitter account for Fallout’s 25th birthday. However, it appears that the image he uploaded also shows Keystone ahead of its time. In fact, Tom Warren of The Verge said that ” Spencer just revealed Microsoft’s Xbox console that will be exclusively for streaming” .
The Keystone can be seen on the top shelf to the right of the Xbox controller:
For the record, Microsoft had officially confirmed in June 2021 that it is preparing both the Xbox streaming stick and the official application for smart TVs, which was released in June. So it looks like the stick will probably be a tiny Xbox Series S. Still, since nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s best to take all of the above with a grain of salt.
Microsoft has not officially commented on the appearance of the streaming “console”, but the official Xbox Twitter account responded to Spencer’s tweet with “What about putting old prototypes on your shelf boss”.
We don’t know if this box was there by accident. But, as the wise people say, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
