iPhone: We learned when the notch will almost completely disappear from their screens

Thanks to an advanced technology of Apple’s established Face ID

Well-known analyst Ross Young is one of those who have been predicting various iPhone technologies lately and now he is back with a comprehensive prediction schedule. In it, Young reveals through a schedule when and to which iPhones certain innovations planned by Apple will arrive.

One of them is when the first “notchless” iPhone will arrive, thanks to the long-rumored advanced Face ID technology , which will practically hide it under the screen. But this does not mean that it will not have a notch at all , it will just now have a small round hole for the front camera, like most Android mobile phones in recent years .

In its updated timeline it is revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first iPhone with a round hole instead of a notch  and will bring the new “hidden” Face ID on its screen.

This implementation of FaceID will be present in all Pro models of iPhones for 2027 , according to the plan, which will give the illusion that the Pro models will have a full screen, without a notch.

This prediction differs from the one Ross had published in May 2022, when he mentioned that the iPhone 16 Pro would be the one with the advanced FaceID technology. This one-year delay is due to “sensor issues” as he writes. This development means that Dynamic Island will remain on iPhones for three more generations .

The same analyst is the one who also predicted when the “ProMotion” technology will come to the simply cheaper iPhones, as it is until now a privilege of the more expensive models, from the iPhone 13 Pro onwards.
