Google: You can more easily delete your personal information from search

Thanks to the new tool introduced by Google

Want to delete your personal information from appearing in Google searches and having trouble? Google had announced in May at Google I/O a feature that will help the process of those who want to erase their tracks from Google Search , since you may not want someone to find your address on Google or their email or number your phone for example.

The feature is now rolling out to the Google app and can be accessed by tapping on your profile picture, where the “Results about you ” option now resides. Clicking on it will take you to a special page where you can ask Google to remove a Search result that includes phone numbers, addresses, emails and other personal information.

Also, if you see any information that concerns you while surfing Google Search you can press the three dots in the upper right part of each result. There a window will appear with the option “Remove result”. You can also track the progress of a removal in the “Results about you” menu.

This page also allows you to make a new request with a description that includes the step ” Why would you like to remove this result? “. Options include:

  • It shows my personal contact information
  • He shows my contact to you with the intention of harming me
  • Shows other personal information
  • Contains illegal information
  • It is outdated

Essentially this tool doesn’t change the process it just makes it more convenient to access. This feature will be rolled out gradually, in case it doesn’t appear on your Google profile yet.
