Hugh Jackman: Answers if he ever took steroids to become Wolverine
The 54-year-old star answered once and for all how he stays in shape
It goes without saying that in order to transform into Wolverine , Hugh Jackman goes through a painful and tough process, which includes a specific diet and intensive training.
Now that he’ll be back as Wolverine – albeit at 54 – he’ll be following a similar recipe ahead of filming Deadpool 3 .
Hugh Jackman talked about the typical training and physical condition required for the role of Wolverine, on a CNN show and even mentioned whether he ever took anabolic steroids to get to this level.
He confirmed that he never took anabolics or steroids to…tumble for the role of Wolverine, practically saying that this feat was made possible thanks to the special exercise and diet program he follows.
Characteristically the answer he gave:
No, I love my job. And I love Wolverine… I have to be careful what I say here, but I’ve been told off the record what the side effects of this are. And I said, “I don’t like it that much.” So no, I did it the traditional way. And I’m telling you, I’ve eaten more chicken – I feel so sorry for all the vegetarians and vegans and chickens of the world. Literally karma is not good for me

In a recent interview, he even talked about the intensive and tough training program he will follow in the next 6 months to get in shape for the filming of Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds will see Hugh Jackman make his grand return to the role of Wolverine for the last time in the MCU . In a recent appearance, Charlie Cox stated that “there is room” for Daredevil to appear in the film.
Remember that Deadpool 3 was directed by Shawn Levy of Free Guy, The Adam Project and Stranger Things, while Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick from Deadpool and Deadpool 2 return to the script.
Deadpool 3 is expected to hit theaters on November 8, 2024.
