Naomi Watts is the faceless nightmare of the thriller Goodnight Mommy – Watch the trailer  

The American remake of the psychological thriller will premiere on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon has revealed with a first trailer the American remake of ” Goodnight Mommy “, the 2014 Austrian film of the same name that caused a sensation. The new version of the psychological thriller stars Naomi Watts as a mother who returns home after undergoing facial surgery. 

Her two children, played by Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, welcome her but realize that something is wrong. Soon the situation takes a turn for the worse when their “mother” sets strange rules in the house, behaves completely strangely and generally does things that a mother would not do. There they suspect that the woman under the gauze, who prepares their food and sleeps in the next room, is not their mother.

The Goodnight Mommy remake is directed by Matt Sobel (Take me to the River) from a script by Kyle Warren (Fox’s Lethal Weapon). The original Austrian film production was directed by Franz and Fiala. 

Goodnight Mommy will premiere on Amazon Prime Video worldwide on September 16 .
