The pregnant mummy was hiding another secret… (PICTURES+VIDEO)

The cause of death has probably been discovered

A few months ago we reported the discovery of the world’s first pregnant mummy and now there are new developments in the case. The mysterious mummy, which was named ” Mysterious Lady “, probably comes from the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes, known today as Luxor. It dates from the first century BC. and was found sealed in the sarcophagus of a male priest.

Opening it, the scientists were surprised to find together with the priest and the mummy of a woman. After a study, they found that there was a fetus in her abdomen and estimated that she died during the 28th week of pregnancy.

Further study revealed the probable cause of the woman’s death and according to the data, it was cancer. The team discovered deformities in her skull such as a 7mm hole behind the left eye, revealing a tumor in the nasopharynx, which affected the mouth, trachea and nasal cavity. It remains to be confirmed that it is cancer by chemical and histopathological analyses.

The unusual gap indicates that there was a tumor there that forced the surrounding bone to detach. Alternatively, the hole may have been caused by a cyst caused by anemia. However, the deformation in other parts of the skull makes scientists believe that it is cancer.

Cancer may have been the immediate cause of the woman’s death, but it’s hard to say for sure. It is also possible that pregnancy played a role in her death. When we examine human remains, we always wonder about the cause of death. We do not often manage to find the answer to this question. We uncovered another piece of the puzzle of her life. But we still miss quite a few.
