Microsoft made new variant of ChatGPT which is not for everyone though

The company continues to release new AI products

Microsoft continues its AI- related announcements apace , now bringing to market a variant of ChatGPT , or rather the GPT-4 model behind the viral chatbot. Specifically, the American giant released a new artificial intelligence tool for cybersecurity professionals , called Security Copilot . This is specifically designed to help security analysts respond faster to threats by assessing risks in minutes.

Security Copilot is based on OpenAI’s GPT-4, combined with a model of Microsoft’s own that is specifically designed for cybersecurity. So it uses natural language to answer security-related questions and provide guidance through a chatbot-like UI. It also integrates data and insights from other Microsoft security tools such as Sentinel, Defender and Intune.

According to the company, Security Copilot can help security analysts with tasks such as:

  • Gathering and interpreting threat intelligence
  • Analyze files, URLs and code snippets for malicious activity
  • Recommending the best course of action to remediate threats
  • Create reports and presentations about security incidents

At this point it is worth mentioning that Microsoft emphasizes that Security Copilot is not intended to replace human security analysts, but instead aims to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness. In fact, the tool will continuously learn from interactions and adapt to each corporate environment.

Security Copilot is currently available as a beta for select customers only, being one of several Microsoft products leveraging OpenAI technology. From the collaboration of the two companies we have also seen the Microsoft 365 Copilot for applications such as Word, but also the chatbot of the Bing search engine.
