Snap is abandoning the Pixy drone after just four months  

The company’s finances are not doing well

Snap unveiled a tiny drone called Pixy four months ago that could take off and land on your hand. It had four standalone modes to capture photos and videos that you could save and share via Snapchat, and it cost $250.

Now, according to the Wall Street Journal , he is leaving Pixy, after CEO Evan Spiegel ordered a halt to further development and reallocation of the company’s resources in other directions.

Snap is feeling the financial effects of the slowing economy, like many tech companies. In July it had the worst growth rate in sales, sinking its stock by 40%, while compared to last year its value has fallen by 80%.

For now Pixy is still available for purchase from Snap’s website.
