Expend4bles: Jason Statham uploaded stills of the movie on his Instagram
The Expendables 4 was largely filmed in Thessaloniki
Jason Statham (Jason Statham) decided to share some new moments from the filming of The Expendables 4 that took place in the Hollywood studios of Thessaloniki, through his Instagram account, which has over 37.4 million followers .
The photos he uploaded show fight scenes against Tony Jaa , who will be with the renewed team of “Expendables” and is a legend of martial arts and Asian cinema. Another iconic actor of Asian cinema, Uko Iwais will be the big villain of the film.
In addition to the stormy action scenes in the first post of the Hollywood star, Statham posted others where his character Lee Christmas drives a machine with built-in machine guns.
In the 4th film of Expendables, the familiar team of elite mercenaries with Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Sylvester Stallone will meet for the first time with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Uko Iwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran and Andy Garcia .
The film was directed by Scott Waugh ( xXx, Need for Speed ). Expend4bles’ official synopsis: ” In their fourth adventure, the Expendables are the world’s last line of defense, the last-minute team that springs into action. This time, the style and tactics of the new generation of Expendables will new meaning to the phrase ‘new blood’. This September, the top action movie stars are back again with the 4th film of the hit franchise, where much of the filming took place in Thessaloniki.”
For the record, Expend4bles was one of three Hollywood films, in the last two years, to choose the co-capital for their filming, along with the films “The Enforcer” with Antonio Banderas and ” The Bricklayer ” with Aaron Eckhart and Nina Dobrev.
The majority of the filming of The Expendables 4 took place in the special state-of-the-art studios of Millenium Films and Nu Boyana Hellenic, located in Thermi , Thessaloniki.
EXPEND4BLES (Expendables 4) will premiere in Greek cinemas on September 21.
