As Netflix just announced , two new hot games have been added to the service for all subscribers to enjoy on their iOS and Android smartphones. In fact, one of them has received excellent reviews, with many pointing out that it is one of the most special indies worth playing.
Going into detail, we are talking about Kentucky Route Zero , which is divided into five chapters. The first one arrived in 2013, with the story ending in 2020. As part of this long run, the game received excellent reviews and was also awarded a BAFTA award. In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s a point-and-click adventure that tells the story of a truck driver named Conway and the strange people he encounters as he tries to cross the mysterious Zero Route in Kentucky (hence the name of the game), to make one last delivery for the antiquities company he works for.
The game received rave reviews for its visuals, narrative, characters, atmosphere, and themes it tackles.
The next game added to Netflix is the much talked about Twelve Minutes . It’s an interactive thriller made by just one person, but despite that it also has a truly Hollywood cast, as James McAvoy (Split), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) and Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse) lend their voices , Spider-Man). The peculiarity of the game is that the entire narrative takes place in a time loop of 12 minutes.
Finally, Netflix revealed that at the beginning of 2023 the highly entertaining Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will come to the service , while later in the year Valiant Hearts: Coming Home and other Ubisoft games are expected.
