Berlin: Activists shut down airport by gluing themselves to runway (VIDEO)

The “Last Generation” team strikes again beyond museums

The infamous activist group “Last Generation ” has struck again but this time outside of museums. A group of activists stormed Berlin Brandenburg Airport and blocked the runway as they taped themselves to the runway as a sign of climate change protest.

Berlin-Brandenburg Airport was forced to temporarily close all its runways for several hours, resulting in problems with flight delays.

Activists from the notorious environmental group have called on people to stop traveling by air and for the government to stop subsidizing air transport.

Watch the video they posted:

“In an area of the airport where access to the public is not allowed, we encountered many people who had previously gained unauthorized access and some had stuck their hands there ,” Berlin police said in a Twitter post.

An airport spokesman said police arrested the activists, but the runways remained closed for staff to carry out checks to ensure there were no additional people. Last night the alert ended and the airport was restored.

Their last action was in a museum in Amsterdam where they threw black paint on a painting by the painter Gustav Klimt.
