Fantastic Four: WandaVision director rumored for MCU reboot movie

The latest developments from the MCU’s Phase 6 front

Marvel Studios is working feverishly behind the scenes to plan Phase 6 of the MCU as of now , for which we only officially know 3 movies, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty , Avengers: Secret Wars and Fantastic Four.

The latest we learn about the Fantastic Four reboot movie within the MCU, as according to a report from The Direct, it is rumored that Matt Shakman will be the new director. Of course, these are currently rumors carried by The Direct, but other insiders such as @Bigscreenleaks confirm for his part:

He is the director of all episodes of WandaVision, widely regarded as one of the most successful and best Marvel series on Disney+. His resume also includes episodes of well-known series such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,  Fargo ,  Game of Thrones , and Succession . He is also slated to direct Star Trek 4 as well as Apple’s Godzilla and the Titans TV series .

It remains to be seen, however, whether this will be Kevin Feige ‘s final choice to replace the Spider -Man trilogy ‘s Jon Watts with Tom Holland , who left the project and then took over the “Skeleton Crew” in the new live- action Star Wars series with Jude Law.

No other information is known about the Fantastic Four cast, as John Krasinski ‘s reappearance as Mr. Fantastic, as in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Fantastic Four movie is expected to hit theaters on  November 8, 2024.
