Rings of Power: Lord of the Rings actors respond to racist attacks on cast

The matter took on enormous proportions

A few hours ago, the official social media accounts of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power posted a post of support for the cast of the Amazon TV series . Specifically, the post points out that various actors of Rings of Power faced racist comments, threats, abuse and harassment.

The post immediately went viral, with almost thousands of likes, retweets and quote tweets and points out:

We, the cast of Rings of Power, stand together in total solidarity and against the relentless racism, threats, harassment, and abuse that some of our actors of color endure every day. We refuse to ignore it or tolerate it.

RR Tolkien created a world that is, by definition, multicultural. A world where free peoples from different races and cultures band together to defeat the forces of evil. Rings of Power reflects exactly that. Our world was never just white, fantasy was never just white, Middle Earth is not just white. BIPOCs belong in Middle Earth and are here to stay.

At the same time, the official account of the show thanked the fans for standing by its actors. So for more, you can find the related post below:

It is worth noting that the legends of the original Lord of the Rings films by Peter Jackson also took their place . Specifically, Elijah Wood , Dominic Monaghan , Billy Boyd and Sean Astin who had the roles of Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam respectively made posts that said “You are all welcome here”. The message is written in the language of Middle-earth and below it shows the ears of elves and various other characters with different skin colors.
