After months of waiting and rumours, the announcement countless fans have been waiting for has arrived. And officially the beloved One Punch Man will return with a third season . Specifically, through the official website of the series, it was announced that the production of the new cycle has officially begun .
It is worth noting that more information was not made public, such as when we can expect the new episodes, which studio has taken over their creation or what to expect in terms of the story. However, the announcement was accompanied by an official visual, which you can check out below.
It is worth noting that the second season of One Punch Man ended in the summer of 2019, but fans had several complaints. For this reason the announcement of the third party was so late, with rumors that JC Staff will not take over the animation this time.
Nevertheless, fans are excited, because the third season is expected to adapt one of the manga’s best story arcs. Specifically, the initial season dealt with around the first 41 chapters of the manga, with the second season carrying around 43 chapters. Going by what we’ve seen so far from the manga, it’s likely that the third season will tackle chapter 138.
As the central visual suggests, the focus of the new season will be Garou, with the characters facing some of the most terrifying monsters of the Monsters Association.
