The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game will awaken retro memories (VIDEO)

After the Streets of Rage 4 that most fans loved, the publishing company Dotemu returns one more title that will evoke retro memories. We are talking about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge developed by Tribute Games, which in the past had given us the Flinthook and Mercenary Kings.

In their new adventure, the adored tortoises Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello will go through a number of typical locations of the TMNT series, from the sewers of New York to Dimension X. On this journey they will meet villains such as Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang and Shredder.

As you can see from the trailer that accompanied the announcement, the game borrows a bit from the style of Konami TMNT: Turtles In Time released in 1991 and other similar retro releases of the time. In fact, the old-school roots do not only concern the visual part with the pixel-art aesthetics, but also reach the brawling mechanisms of the battle system. Watch this video through the player below to get a taste.

For now, the release date and platforms of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge remain unknown.
