The Walking Dead: The spin-off series of Rick and Michonne will complete their story!

The production has worked very hard for what you will see

The Walking Dead wrapped up on Sunday with its final episode called Rest in Peace, however, that doesn’t mean the AMC franchise is over. And that’s because, as we’ve known for some time, many spin-offs with various characters are being prepared.

One of those spin-off shows is The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne . This will consist of six episodes and promises to continue the love story of the two characters, as well as the war with zombies.

Now, some interesting information regarding the history of this series has come to light. Danai Gurira , aka Michonne, gave an interview and revealed that the story of these two characters will be completed. Specifically he said:

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and I have been working for the last year and a half on this, really building to how we’re going to wrap up Rick and Michonne’s story. We gave you a little taste of what’s going on (in the latest episode of The Walking Dead) and a little taste of what’s to come.

The first information:

This series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Separated by distance. From an unstoppable force. From the ghosts of what was.

Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and what they were in a place and situation they have never seen before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Winners? Without each other, are they even alive – or will they find that they too are the ‘walking dead’?”

Spinoffs that will expand on Robert Kirkman’s post-apocalyptic zombie world “will satisfy core audiences and bring in new audiences,” Dan McDermott said during the AMC Networks summit. The network head added that the cable channel and AMC+ will focus on not making viewers feel “too familiar” with the long-running franchise.
