Maestro Season 2: Completed filming… for now – New photos

The production is saying goodbye to the Paxos temporarily and this is why

And yet, the filming of the long-awaited 2nd season of Maestro has been completed… at least for now, as the creator and director of the series, Christoforos Papakaliatis, had revealed a few days ago.

From the hyperactive account of ” Maestro in Blue ” on Instagram, we learned the news that the production has completed the first part of the filming in Paxos and is leaving to continue in Athens, also posting several stories and photos. Speaking to Mega and Eleni Menegaki’s show, Papakaliatis explained that the filming of the 2nd cycle will take place in two parts , as the summer season begins at this time on the island of Paxos, resulting in it being flooded with tourists, making filming impossible for the crew of the series.

After the summer season break, the Foss Productions crew will return to the island in October to finish filming the remaining episodes. The creator of Maestro also made a small revelation about the 2nd season , saying that a new face will be added, who will help solve the crime. He also stated that so far he has completed the script of the first four episodes of the 2nd season, which were filmed in the previous days.

“Each episode has a narrator and this time I have chosen a different way of narration. Each time one speaks he is talking about the story of the other hero. The heroes have come together, there is a crime that has been committed and the first four episodes are the consequences of that ” , said Papakaliatis characteristically.

We also have an estimate for when the series will return to at least Mega. The 2nd season of Maestro will be shown  towards the end of 2023 or within 2024 , as he says ” The second cycle has Athens and after September-October we will go to Paxos again. We will see it in a year from now. It is like abroad , that one year after the season ends, the next comes the next season .

Papakaliatis has stated that we will be introduced to several new faces and that  Maestro’s story will end with season 2 . He assured that the screening of the 2nd season will not take place first on Netflix and then on Mega, so the way it will be shown will be similar to that of the 1st season – first on Greek TV and some time later on Netflix.

Regarding the series finale, Christoforos Papakaliatis stated: ” In all my work my character is present and I always tend towards balance as a human being. I want to believe that as romantic as it sounds, in a way that ultimately good wins, it may be slow but it wins.”
