And yet, Prey was inspired by God of War

The reveal and how Dan Trachtenberg, director of the Predator prequel film, did it

Prey proved to be a worthy prequel to the Predator franchise, having received very positive ratings and acceptance from the public, based on Rotten Tomatoes, while it also proved its success in its viewing figures, surpassing popular Hulu programs such as ” The Kardashians “.

A very interesting aspect of Prey is revealed by its director, Dan Trachtenberg, who comes from God of War . Indeed, Prey has been inspired by Sony’s beloved PlayStation video game Santa Monica, adding an element of the God of War reboot to the prequel film The Hunter.

As he reveals, speaking to Bernard Smalls of Cassius Life, Trachtenberg incorporated elements such as the Predator’s expanding shield and the Tomahawk – like another Leviathan Ax, because similar weapons are wielded by Kratos in God of War.

“It’s the Predator shield and even the Tomahawk that Naru makes because she throws it and can return it to her hands. All of that was inspired by me playing the game.
