Penguin: The spinoff series of The Batman with Colin Farrell will not be a prequel

The star of the series has already talked about the first scene and much more

Colin Farrell is slowly preparing to return as Penguin in the eponymous spinoff series of the universe ” The Batman ” that will come to HBO Max.

In a new interview with Extra TV, the 46-year-old star talked a lot about the series in which he will star as Oswald Cobblepot and revealed that it will not be a prequel to the events of The Batman. In fact, we learned that it will be a sequel and will take place a week after the finale of “The Batman” directed by Matt Reeves.

In fact, Farrell also gave an innocent spoiler for the series by describing the first literal scene of the Penguin series:

“It starts about a week after ‘The Batman’ ends. So Gotham is still kind of in the water. I read the first script of the first episode, and it starts with his (Oswald Cobblepott’s) feet splashing in the water in Falcone’s office. , which in itself when I read it I was like, ‘Oh, aman.’

He also talked about the work of “Penguin” screenwriter Lauren LeFranc:

“It’s great. It’s such a well-written show. Lauren LeFranc has done a great job. She’s writing the whole thing and presenting it. She’s terrific and it’s a very exciting prospect.”

As for the chance to play the Penguin again, he said:

“Because I love this character. I was greedy with him. I felt like I hadn’t given enough. I wanted to do more and more and more. So now I get the chance.”

We still don’t know when Penguin will start shooting or when it will come to HBO Max.
