Free Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 for all Hitman 3 players
The third chapter changes its name and structure
The new episodic trilogy of Hitman games began in 2016, with Hitman 2 arriving in 2018 and Hitman 3 completing Agent 47’s adventure in 2021. Now, since the games are so connected that each sequel incorporates levels of the previous release as additional content, the IO Interactive development team decided to make a major change, simplifying things somewhat.
Going into details from January 26, 2023 HITMAN 3 will change its name to HITMAN World of Assassination and will now include all the content of HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 through the already existing Access Pass system. So everyone who already owns HITMAN 3 will automatically get the upgrade to HITMAN World of Assassination, which means they ‘ll also get all the episodes of the first two titles for free.
At the same time, the studio will drastically simplify purchasing options for new players. In particular, after the aforementioned date, the only pack that will be available for purchase is HITMAN World of Assassination and all other HITMANs will be removed from the digital stores of all platforms.
Essentially, these two changes will result in all new players and existing owners of HITMAN 3 having the same core content. There will be no more confusion about which version to buy, what content they own, how to redeem Legacy packs, etc.
