Star Wars: Lucasfilm is preparing something with Studio Ghibli of the legendary Hayao Miyazaki

The two companies will cooperate and the teasers have started

Fans of animated films, Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli have reason to be excited as both studios have announced that they will be working together. The announcement was made by the two companies with a modest teaser through Twitter, which has more than 7.9 million views, making it viral on the platform.

In 14 seconds and with two simple logos, Hayao Miyazaki ‘s legendary studio, which has given away classic masterpieces of animated films for decades, will join forces with that of Star Wars – and practically Disney – for a project.

Here’s the announcement teaser:

What is this project? Nobody officially knows with Studio Ghibli making a unique comment on all of this via Gizmodo saying ” soon all will be revealed “. But fans are speculating about what kind of collaboration it could be if it is for example an animated movie in the Star Wars universe or some series on Disney Plus.

The most logical conclusion since we are dealing with a Japanese studio is that it may be about the upcoming 2nd season of Star Wars: Visions , which is expected on Disney Plus in the spring of 2023. It is the animated series of self-contained episodes where some of the best anime studios in the world and they brought 9 non-canon stories to life with visuals that were a feast for the eyes.

Just a little patience and all will be revealed for an undoubtedly highly anticipated collaboration.
