It’s been almost half a decade since we first heard about the remake of the legendary System Shock , with Nightdive Studios seeking funding for the project on the Kickstarter platform in 2016. After several delays and ups and downs, the wait now seems to be reaching end of her.
Going into details, on the occasion of the new year, the studio announced the time frame for the release of the title, which will hopefully arrive in 2023 . In particular, the remake of System Shock is now scheduled to be released in March . The announcement was made through the game’s Kickstarter page, with the team clarifying that the size and scale of the project has grown dramatically in recent years, thanks in part to the support of publishing company Prime Matter.
For example, Nightdive Studios was able to significantly improve various aspects of the experience, creating new enemies to make the final levels of the game more challenging, while also being able to focus on many quality-of-life improvements as well as bug fixing. and in localization.
