Xiaomi 13 – Xiaomi 13 Pro: Landing in Europe for the new powerful flagships

They come with Leica cameras for awesome photography performance

Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are making their European (and international) landing in the markets, after their launch in China last December.

Both the Xiaomi 13 and the Pro model come with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 , with the rest of their specs being practically the same as those of the Chinese models, while they have Google services pre-installed.

In the Xiaomi 13 Pro we find the beastly 1-inch camera built in collaboration with Leica, using the new Sony IMX989 sensor. Its triple camera setup is as follows: main camera at 50MP, telephoto 3.2x at 50MP with OIS and an ultra-wide also at 50MP . It is larger in size with a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440p at 120Hz, while in design it is curved compared to the simple model.

In the Xiaomi 13 we find a 6.36-inch FullHD+ OLED screen with up to 1,900 nits of brightness and a 120hz refresh rate. In terms of design, it differs from the Pro as its screen is flat in design with the back being covered either by glass or leatherette. In terms of cameras, it does not have the new Sony sensor and thus consists of a 50MP main camera (IMX800), a 10MP 3.2x telephoto with OIS and a 12MP ultra wide camera.

Both phones carry the same 32MP selfie camera in a hole-in-the-display style. Another difference is in charging as the Xiaomi 13 supports 67W of wired charging (4,500mAh battery capacity), while the Xiaomi 13 Pro (4,820mAh battery) supports 120W wired charging, 50W wireless and 10W reverse to charge other Appliances.

They also share the same Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, IP68 rating and run Android 13 and MIUI 14.

Finally, the series of models is completed by the Xiaomi 13 Lite, the cheapest and most affordable model of all, as it starts from €549. It puts special emphasis on its selfie cameras as it has a 32MP and an 8MP with double “Selfie Glow” LEDS for better selfies, while it has three cameras of 50MP, 20MP ultrawide and 2MP macro.

It comes with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a 6.55″ FullHD+ 120Hz screen and a 4,500mAh battery.

They will be available in three colors (white, green, black) in versions of 8GB RAM/256, 12GB RAM/256GB for the simple and 12/256GB and 12/512GB for the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The Xiaomi 13 starts at €999 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro at €1399 for Europe.
