Henry Cavill: He is preparing a series for a very favorite game of his after Superman and Witcher

This is the next stage in the career of the 39-year-old star

What if Henry Cavill (Henry Cavill) hung up the Superman cape, after being fired from DC and leaving, last October, the Netflix series The Witcher and the role of Geralt?

For the 39-year-old cult star, it doesn’t matter that he left behind these two beloved pop culture characters, as he has already found the next stop in his career.

As THR reveals, Cavill will star and executive produce Amazon ‘s live-action Warhammer 40,000 series based on the popular board game.

In fact, Amazon is in final negotiations for Cavill’s contract, while acquiring the rights to the Warhammer franchise from the creator company, Games Workshop, after months of intense negotiations, among other streaming companies. Currently Amazon Studios’ Warhammer series has no writers and showrunners hired, meaning the project is still in its early stages.

Because of this, it will not be the next role that we will see Cavill on the screen, since he is preparing other projects in his post-Superman/Witcher era.

For those who don’t know, Cavill is a huge Warhammer 40K fan, having publicly revealed his adoration for the board game as he paints and keeps many Warhammer figures in his home.

In an earlier interview he even said that he prefers Warhammer to World of Warcraft – his other favorite videogame, while he had expressed his desire to act in a Warhammer 40K movie, only now he will fulfill his dream in a series of the universe.

Warhammer 40,000 started out as a board game in 1987 and has since gained its own fanbase, and there are also a bunch of video games for it. Its setting takes us 40,000 years into the future where humanity is at one of its darkest points. Having stopped progressing, she fights for her survival in a merciless war between aliens and magical creatures, where even deities and demons are involved.
