Players waited up to 5 hours to play Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch

This should not happen…

Blizzard released the Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch for WoW Classic a few twenty-four hours ago , and by all accounts, it was a disaster. In particular, hundreds of players had complaints with this particular patch, since they waited “in the queue” for too many hours.

Many Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers that were full or generally crowded experienced quite a bit of trouble, as hundreds of players queued for up to 5 full hours (343 minutes) to play.

Although this is an extreme example done on the Grobbulus server, game queues range from 20 minutes and up and this results in frustration for the community that wanted to enjoy the patch.

The official game will be released towards the end of September, but this new update of WoW Classic brings many new features, such as the Death Knight as a playable class and various other events.

In addition to the original-classic content – which you may know – Blizzard will also bring an improved version of the Barber Shop, achievements, boost to level 70, in case you didn’t play Burning Crusade, as well as personal Arena scores for PVP .

As with WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic, Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be included with your existing WoW subscription at no additional cost.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be released for everyone on September 26th.
