Ending titles for yet another Square Enix game
This time from the Final Fantasy VII universe
Square Enix announced a few minutes ago that it will close the servers and at the same time one of its games, which was released about 14 months ago. We are talking about Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier , the battle royale title, which was based on the universe of the legendary PlayStation 1 game.
The title will cease to exist on January 11th, 2023 , so you still have some time if you want to get involved with it. In The First Soldier, players can mount chocobos or machines for faster travel around the map, and there are also familiar FFVII locations, such as the church Aerith used to go to.
The official statements of the company:
Despite all our efforts to provide you with regular updates with new and exciting content, we have not been able to deliver the experience that we hoped for and you deserved. That’s why we’ve made the extremely tough decision to stop service for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. We would like to thank you all for supporting us all this time.
Although the game will shut down in the early days of 2023, it will still be updated with new content in the coming months. Also, let us remind you that in December Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 – Reunion will be released , which is a Remaster of the classic PSP version.
