The Exorcist is coming to Netflix!

Netflix is about to enrich its list of classic films with one of the best thrillers of all time. Specifically, it became known that from next Tuesday, November 1st , you will be able to enjoy “The Exorcist” again through the ” frequency” of the streaming service.
The film was directed by William Friedkin , while the protagonists were Ellen Burstyn, Linda Blair, Jason Miller, Max von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, Jack MacGowran, William O’Malley, Barton Heyman and others.
In case you haven’t seen the movie, the synopsis reads:
The 12-year-old daughter of an actress shows signs of demonic possession. The psychiatrists raise their hands and the case is taken over by two priests: one, elderly and experienced in cases of exorcism, the other, of Greek origin, with many psychiatric diplomas but also doubts about his faith.

Let us remind you that The Exorcist was a huge success at the global box office with 441 million in revenue, with a budget of only 11 million. Of course, apart from its commercial success, the film is considered one of the best horror films in the history of cinema.
Let us also remind you that David Gordon Green, who gave us the new Halloween trilogy, will sit in the director’s chair of the new “The Exorcist” films. The story of William Friedkin comes to the fore again from Blumhouse and Universal Pictures with a new reboot trilogy.
According to what we know about the plot, it will continue from 1973’s “The Exorcist” and will probably ignore the events of the other films. Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami), will star in the role of a father who discovers that his daughter is possessed.

The new trilogy will be very expensive and blockbuster level
As we previously told you, the new Exorcist trilogy will be very expensive and blockbuster-level. The rights to the new trilogy were bought by Universal Pictures for over $400 million, of course to boost its streaming service, Peacock. The first film is scheduled for release on October 13, 2023.
The Exorcist will be streaming on Netflix from November 1st.
