A beloved SEGA Mega Drive game returns 27 years later!

Through a special remaster

Disney is coming to evoke nostalgic memories in some older gamers and teach a retro game to the younger ones, after announcing the return of Gargoyles .

Specifically, during the recent The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase held as part of D23 Expo 2022, the company announced that the Empty Clip development team will undertake to bring the game up to date, just as it happened with The Jungle Book, Aladdin and The Lion King, other releases from the distant past.

Gargoyles Remastered will bring renewed graphics and modern controls, but for now we do not know exactly when it will be released.

In case you don’t know, Gargoyles is a 2D sidescroller that first became available in 1995 for the SEGA Mega Drive. The game was based on the corresponding animated series of the time and became a cult classic thanks to the relative maturity of its writing, thanks to its overall plot, as well as thanks to its intelligent and motivated villains. In fact, it also had an impressive cast of actors, such as Keith David, Clancy Brown, John Rhys-Davies and various Star Trek stars, such as Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis.
