Through his Instagram account
Gears are now officially in motion for Venom 3 , the sequel to Venom : Let There Be Carnage that was given the “green light” by Sony Pictures last year .
Now it looks like production on Sony’s new Spider-Man Universe movie is well underway, and we’ve heard from Eddie Brock himself.
And that’s because the protagonist Tom Hardy shared the news of how the pre-production of Venom 3 started , through his official account on Instagram.
The announcement was accompanied by a video , which contains a cut scene from the first ” Venom ” of 2018.

Through the Venom 2 post-credits scene, it was hinted that Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock/Venom would meet Tom Holland ‘s Spider-Man , as he was transported to Earth-616 , amid the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home . Although he’s back in his own universe, maybe Venom 3 is about searching for his universe’s Spider-Man, whoever that is.
Rumor has it that Sony wants filming to begin in July and wrap up by September. Last October we learned that Kelly Marcel would be directing Venom 3 – taking over from Andy Serkis, who wrote the previous two films and is now co-writing the script with Tom Hardy.
For the record, Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage had brought in about $506.9 million dollars at the box office worldwide, amid of course a difficult period for cinema due to the pandemic, while the reviews were lukewarm at best. The first Venom had brought in over $856 million worldwide at the box office.
