Against Xbox – PlayStation: Microsoft ready to make another retreat with Call of Duty

To convince the regulatory authorities for the acquisition

The stormy developments on the Activision Blizzard acquisition front continue, with trusted media outlet Bloomberg now revealing that Microsoft is willing to make another concession to convince regulators.

In particular, having to face the United States FTC in the courts and as it awaits the decisions of the European Union and the United Kingdom, Microsoft seems that it is now willing to allow Call of Duty on PlayStation Plus . In more detail, according to the media’s report, the American giant is now proposing to further enrich the 10-year contract that Sony refused to sign .

The Xbox company wants to give PlayStation the ability to add Call of Duty to its own subscription service, PlayStation Plus, if it wishes to do so. It should be noted that Microsoft has made it clear for a long time that if the acquisition is completed, it intends to add as many Activision Blizzard games as possible to Xbox Game Pass, which would differentiate the service from the competition.

For the record, Microsoft had initially proposed a three-year contract for the distribution of Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms, which Sony had publicly described as “inadequate”, in one of the first…chapters of the great feud that has erupted between of the two gaming giants.
