iOS 17: These are the supported iPhones and what will be left… out
To which iPhone owners is the “sad” coming?
A few hours after the official presentation of iOS 17 as part of the WWDC 2023 event, Apple also announced the list of iPhones that will be compatible. Among the new features of iOS 17 are improved iMessage and FaceTime apps, more Lock Screen configuration options, new features in the Health app and a “Standby” mode that transforms the iPhone into a more useful device for the user as long as it remains idle.
The new iOS upgrade, in addition to the recent models of the iPhone 14 series, as happens every time, will leave some iPhone generations behind and will not support them. iOS 17 requires an A12 Bionic processor or newer which means iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will not be supported .

Finally, let us recall that from today iOS 17 is available for developers, its public beta will be available in July, while its official release to everyone is expected in the fall – to coincide with the release of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
