We’ve known for some time that Lady Gaga will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux . It is the sequel to the successful film of 2019, which will come again from Todd Phillips . Although Gaga’s role hasn’t been confirmed yet, everyone is saying she’ll be playing Harley Quinn, and now we have the first image of her.

More specifically, the creator of Folie à Deux, Todd Phillips uploaded a photo with Lady Gaga and Phoenix on his official Instagram account, which gives us the first glimpse of the character of the singer.

The image itself “testifies” that indeed Gaga will be Quinn and this can be seen from her look and the way she looks at the Joker. However, Todd Phillips also adds “fuel to the fire”, as he writes in the caption of the photo: ” Happy Valentine’s Day “.

According to what we know so far, Joker 2 will take place in Arkham Asylum and will star Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Of course, the location is no accident, since in the comics as well, the Joker meets Harley Quinn in Arkham Asylum, when she undertakes to help him as a psychiatrist, but eventually falls in love with him.

It is worth noting that the film will probably be quite different from the first one, which was characterized by a dark and realistic tone. The reason; Joker 2 will basically be a musical.

If all goes according to schedule, Joker: Folie à Deux will hit theaters on October 4, 2024.
