The shooting with the chase of Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning on the streets of Rome is breathtaking!

Tom Cruise drives a Fiat 500 with one hand at breakneck speeds!

One of the sequences of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part 1 that will take the viewers’ breath away, Paramount Pictures has decided to further reveal, ahead of the film’s premiere, which is in less than a month.

Thanks to a behind-the-scenes video, the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie explains how they shot the car chase through the dense and busy streets of Rome. Tom Cruise (Tom Cruise) of course takes the lead since he is the one behind the wheel and we see him performing all these dizzying scenes inside a Fiat 500 , with one hand cuffed!

In addition to the director praising Cruise’s driving skills, we see in more detail how the production managed to shoot such a complex and dangerous sequence against the backdrop of the idyllic capital of Italy. All this while there was a crowd of people at the filming, which had taken place in the middle of the pandemic, with Cruise greeting many of them and taking pictures.

” We’ve done a bunch of car chase scenes in the other Mission Impossible movies, but none like this one, ” Cruise tweeted about the set. He speaks emphasizing the intensity and realism of these stunts saying, ” Everything we’ve shot is purely practical. It all boils down to one thing. How do we engage the audience? I just want to give them that thrill.”
