House of the Dragon: How was the first Sunday without a new episode? – See the reactions of the fans

Wait now for season 2

HBO ‘s House of the Dragon came to a close on Sunday, October 23rd and by all accounts, last Sunday was… off without a new episode. And that’s because through Twitter, many users uploaded posts with sad faces and GIFs, since it was the first Sunday, since August when it premiered, without a new episode.

For the first time since August, last Sunday was without HBO’s dragons. The hit prequel show Game of Thrones brought the curtain down on its first season after 10 consecutive weeks.

Every Sunday night, thousands of fans were talking about the new episode on Twitter and House of the Dragon was trending worldwide. However, it was also trending yesterday, but for the reason we mentioned below.

Check out some tweets.

House of the Dragon: Season 2 will have something of old GoT to make you happy!

A few words about House of the Dragon:

This is the first spinoff show of the George RR Martin universe, through which we will be transported 200 years before the events of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, where the House of Targaryen was at its zenith. “Gods. Kings. Fire. Blood” these are the words with which HBO prefaces the series and will take us to the events that lead to the end of this once glorious House and the Targaryen civil war known as the “Dance of Dragons”.

The cast includes: Paddy Considine (The Outsider, Peaky Blinders) as King Viserys Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers, Hannah) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith (The Crown, Doctor Who) as the Prince Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as “Alicent Hightower”, Rhys Ifans as “Otto Hightower”, Steve Toussaint as “Lord Colrys Velaryon” aka “Sea Snake”. Joining them are: Sonoya Mizuno (Devs) as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel (The Serpent) as Knight Ser Criston Cole and Eve Best (Nurse Jackie) as “Sea Snake’s” wife.

House of the Dragon: HBO has said when Season 2 will come out, and it's not good news

Its creation is signed by George RR Martin and Ryan J. Condal (Colony). Condal, along with director Miguel Sapochnik , serve as showrunners and executive producers.

Season 2 has already been greenlit by HBO, however Miguel Sapochnik has announced his departure as director and showrunner.

House of the Dragon Season 2 will start shooting in early 2023. So it’s unlikely to be released until late 2023 and better to wait for it in early to mid 2024.
