Spider-Man 2: When will the sequel come to PS5? – New confirmation from Insomniac
“We are making good progress”
From Starfield to Hogwarts Legacy, the past few months have seen many huge gaming releases get delayed. Apparently, this also scared several fans of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 , since Insomniac has been keeping a fishy silence for a long time.
Going into the details, even though we know the game is due in 2023, a concerned fan who has been “bothering” the studio for some time, took to Twitter to say that he hopes we don’t see a delay. Surprisingly, the development team decided to reassure him and respond to his post.
In particular, the PlayStation studio emphasized that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has not been delayed and is still scheduled for a 2023 release on PS5 . In more detail, in response to the user, Insomniac stated:
Do not worry. We are making good progress and it is still on schedule for 2023.
In fact, the studio clarified that it is not the easiest task in the world to organize the presentation of a game, adding:
Introducing a game takes time, effort, resources and coordination.
For the record, Marvel’s Spider Man 2 was first announced last year in September at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase, alongside Marvel’s Wolverine which is also being developed by Insomniac. The impressive trailer that was released confirmed that Peter Parker and Miles Morales will join forces in the sequel, having to face Venom among other things.
