The Winchesters: Sam and Dean’s parents have a “Supernatural” story to tell you (VIDEO)  

We’re counting down to the series premiere

We’ve known for a while that The CW is preparing a prequel series to Supernatural , and now, a brand new trailer has been released. The US network’s new series is called The Winchesters and is set to focus on Sam and Dean’s parents and “their epic story.”

The Winchesters were created by Jensen Ackles and his wife, Danneel Ackles , while they were at home during the pandemic. Once they received the blessing from Supernatural creator Eric Kripke , the two proceeded to produce the prequel. Starring here are  Meg Donnelly, Drake Rodger and Jensen Ackles.

The series synopsis reads:

Mary is 19 years old and has been fighting the forces of darkness since she was a child. After the loss of a loved one, the hardened hunter considers leaving the family business, until the disappearance of her father and the arrival of John forces her to lead a new team.

John recently returned from Vietnam and is selfless and clear-headed. So he finds a new mission, where his father’s footsteps lead him to a secret organization and a whole new war, as a hunter.

In the series we are expected to see how they met and fell in love and, of course, how they started hunting monsters together. The adult versions of John and Mary were played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Smith.

Starring Drake Rodger, Meg Donnelly, Demetria McKinney, Nida Khurshi, Jojo Fleites and Bianca Kajlich.
