What was the best-selling phone in the third quarter of 2019?

The global market for smartphones continues to have the same lead in 2018. According to Counterpoint Research , the iPhone XR was the top-selling phone for the third quarter of 2019, a position it holds since 2018. So the iPhone XR, while making a lousy start on sales forecasts after its launch, managed to account for 3% of worldwide smartphones sales . Apple’s success is great, especially considering that the recent iPhone 11 – the replacement for the iPhone XR – is only 1.6%.

It is interesting that in the second and third place we have two devices that are also not flagship. These are Samsung Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A50 and their position shows that consumers may not feel the need to turn their attention to expensive phones anymore.
