What we learned about The Movie Critic

Quentin Tarantino has stated many times in the past that his next film, which will be his tenth, wants to be the last film he directs. It’s been years since Once Upon A Time in Hollywood , and all this time there’s been intense talk in the space about his next project.

So far we know that the director’s tenth film will be called The Movie Critic , but it seems that it will not be based on the famous film critic, Pauline Kael .

This was recently denied by the director. However, who will his next film be based on? What we do know for sure is that it will take place in Los Angeles and as he said now, it won’t be a revenge story, but something else.

Speaking to Gunow , Tarantino had the following to say about his tenth film:

There is a lot of speculation about who my new film will be based on. And yes, he’s a real movie critic, but he’s not famous, and of course I’m not going to tell you more (laughs). It is also not a revenge story.

The famous director recently declared that we are living in the worst decade of cinema, in a “creative limbo”.

Let us remind you somewhere here, that Tarantino’s nine films are as follows: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (counted as one), Death Proof, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
