Apple: Steve Jobs’ sandals were sold at an unreal price!

Which he wore when he founded the company

Steve Jobs has influenced the technological world as few people, but also human habits in general, with his company, Apple , being responsible, among other things, for the introduction of smartphones. Now, another record belongs to him and it is actually something quite unusual.

A few hours ago, his famous German Birkenstocks sandals , which he wore for years in the 1970s and 1980s, were sold at auction . In fact, there are many photos from the early days of Apple in which Jobs can be seen wearing them. According to Julien’s Auctions, the pair sold for nearly $220,000! This is the highest amount ever paid in human history for a pair of sandals.

Their official description from the house stated:

Steve Jobs wore these sandals at many critical moments in Apple’s history.
In 1976, in a garage in Los Altos, along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, he took the first steps to create the Apple computer, while occasionally wearing these sandals.
The sole retains the imprint of Steve Jobs’ feet, which was left after many years of use.

Steve Jobs’ Birkenstocks sold for $220k:

For the record, Steve Jobs’ stylistic choices have been discussed many times. Jobs had something of a “uniform” since he used to appear everywhere in the same clothes: a black turtleneck and blue jeans.

Jobs passed away in 2011, aged 56, from a rare form of pancreatic cancer. Beyond the iPhone, Jobs has influenced the computer industry like few others, with Apple’s Mac systems debuting in 1984, while also having a huge impact on the music industry with the iPod.
