Philips wants to fill your office with color with its new Hue products
Which will be able to sync with what your screen is showing
Signify, formerly known as Philips Lighting, has just announced some new products aimed at gamers. Specifically, the company wants to bring more color to your PC gaming setup, through its new Play lightstrips , which promise flexible lighting and are specially designed to fit on the back of your screen or screens.
The specific Philips tapes will come in ready-to-use packages for screens between 24 and 27 inches for $169.99, for screens between 32 and 34 inches for $189.99 and for three screens between 24 and 27 inches for $279.99. Of course, these Play lightstrips will be able to synchronize with all the other lights you have in your Philips Hue ecosystem, but their particularity is that they will be able to change color depending on the content you are watching on your PC, from games, movies , until anything else.
To make this feature work of course Play Sync can be used, the separate device that does the same for Philips tapes for TVs by reading the HDMI output to the monitor. However, there is also the possibility of using the special Hue Sync software that can be installed on your computer and does not require any additional hardware. In fact, tapes will be able to be controlled and synchronized through Corsair’s iCue software, to match the color of your box and peripherals.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the tapes in question will be available from September 13.
