Ed Sheeran released a song about Pokémon (VIDEO)

Which will play in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Ed Sheeran has just released the official music video for his new song, Celestial , in which he has the help of some Pokémon ! In particular, it features beloved creatures from the games, such as Pikachu, Charizard and Snorlax. In fact, the collaboration with The Pokémon Company and Nintendo does not stop there .

More specifically, the Grammy Award- winning artist ‘s track will also play in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, without knowing at which point or any additional information. This is the brand new ninth generation of the franchise , which is expected to debut on November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

At this point it is worth mentioning that Ed Sheeran has openly stated many times in the past that he loves Pokémon games, stating:

I have been playing Pok é mon since I was in elementary school. Me and my brother had different versions of the games and we would trade Pok é mon together until we each filled our Pok é dex . I liked the cards, but the games were where I got “lost”.

I loved the whole world they were creating. They distracted me if negative things were happening in my life and at school that I wanted to avoid. It was a world I could escape to and I’ve been playing ever since. Even though I’m 31 now, I still have the same Game Boy Color and play Pok é mon Yellow or Silver on planes and trains when I’m on tour. It’s a great honor to add a song to a Pok é mon game and shoot a nostalgic video as well.
