Samsung Galaxy S23: What Europeans have been asking for years now will become a reality!

While a big jump in performance is expected over the S22

Yes, finally, Samsung seems to have listened to the feedback and will not have a different processor for the American version of the Galaxy S23 and a different one for the European one . This is something that European consumers have been asking for for years, since the versions of Galaxy flagships with Exynos processors that arrived in Europe and Greece often had worse performance and worse battery life, compared to the models with Snapdragon chipsets that were released in the United States.

The information that all models will have the same chipset worldwide has been heard for a long time , but now a new leak has come to confirm it again. In particular, the famous leaker Ice universe who is responsible for countless leaks over the years, emphasized that “the best moment for European users has arrived”.

So, according to the benchmark published by the European versions of the brand new Samsung Galaxy S23 will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor . In fact, Samsung made a special deal with Qualcomm to have an exclusive version of the processor with a higher frequency.

This faster Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will only be found in Samsung devices and according to the first data it seems to have a multi-core score of 4580 in Geekbench 5, with a single-core score of 1504 points . For the record, the performance king will probably remain the iPhone 14 Pro Max which has scores of 5455 and 1887 respectively in the same test. However, the jump seems very big compared to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which had the Exynos 2200 processor in Greece, with scores of 3559 and 1159 respectively.
