Street Fighter 6: Zangief and Cammy return and share endless wood in the new trailer!
While a brand new character was also revealed
During the first State of Play of 2023, Capcom borrowed some of the PlayStation show time to show off new footage from two of its highly anticipated releases, Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 .
Specifically regarding the fighting title, a brand new gameplay trailer with a total duration of three and a half minutes was in the spotlight. This focuses on the game’s rich roster of fighters and in particular the ‘bear’, the ‘bird’ and the ‘bee’.
Specifically, Capcom announced that community favorites Zangief and Cammy will return to Street Fighter 6, while the list of fighters will also be enriched by Lily, who is a brand new addition. In total, Street Fighter 6 is expected to debut with a roster of 18 characters. Of course, this will be further expanded after the initial release of the game.
In case you want a refresher, in addition to the classic battles that fans have loved over the years, Street Fighter 6 will also have an open-world adventure mode for aspiring fighters to enjoy. This mode will be called World Tour and Capcom describes it as an “immersive single-player story experience”. At the same time, this will not be the only new mode, since Capcom has also edited the Battle Hub, which is about the online competitive side of things. At the same time, another new function of the fighting title is the Dynamic Controls, for the beginners of the group who have difficulty with the combinations and the strict timing that the execution of the combos requires.
Finally, unlike its predecessor, Street Fighter 6 will also arrive on Xbox platforms, with its release scheduled for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam) on June 2, 2023.
