Twitter has started banning journalists now
Who report on Elon Musk
The accounts of several well-known journalists who were covering events involving Elon Musk were suddenly banned from Twitter. Including journalists from CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Intercept, Mashable and other independents!
The new development comes after Musk vowed to sue the profiler that tracked the course of his private jet. A Twitter spokesperson told The Verge that the bans are related to Elon Musk’s location live broadcast.

The New York Times called the ban ” questionable and unfortunate ” and pointed out that neither the newspaper nor the reporter received any explanation for it. CNN called it ” impulsive and unfair to many journalists…it’s troubling but not surprising .” He asked for an explanation from Twitter and will ” re-evaluate their relationship based on the response .”
Without commenting on specific accounts, I can confirm that we will ban accounts that violate our privacy policies and put other users at risk. We do not make exceptions for journalists or other accounts. – Ella Irwin, Twitter spokesperson

It is worth noting that Twitter also blocked the official account of Mastodon, a competing platform which experienced an unprecedented rise after the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, and now also blocks tweets with links from Mastodon.
