With a Batman…dead
Gotham Knights is one of The CW’s most anticipated series for 2023 , and as we learn, its production has already begun. The series will premiere next year on the American network, and Natalie Abrams , who serves as the show’s writer and producer, confirmed that filming has begun.
She uploaded a behind-the-scenes image on her personal Twitter account, which just shows us a chair and the Gotham Knights logo. This image comes with a caption stating that the first day of filming has begun.
Gotham Knights takes place after the death of Bruce Wayne, and his adopted son Batman is among one of the people accused of his murder. To “clear” his name, he joins forces with the other defendants, who are also the children of Batman’s greatest enemies.
Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams wrote the first episode that essentially gave The CW the go-ahead to become a series regular, while Gotham and Pennyworth’s Danny Cannon is directing.
Gotham Knights was one of three series the network has in the works, as it also has Walker: Independence in development, as well as The Winchesters, the Supernatural prequel. The series will star Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan), Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Bow, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown and Rahart Adams as Brody.
Gotham Knights will premiere on The CW in 2023.
