LG introduces upgraded home appliances  

With a minimalist design

LG Electronics has announced a new line of minimalist home appliances that will also be upgradable. In more detail, their design removes all unnecessary keys and decorative touches. The refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, oven and dishwasher will now have improved control features for more automated use.

In addition, the devices will be able to be upgraded, both in software and hardware.

Upgradability negates the idea that expensive devices are designed with planned obsolescence in mind. We want customers to have a new device experience throughout the LG device’s life cycle, not just when they first bring the device home.

Unfortunately, LG’s announcement doesn’t offer any further details on the devices’ features or pricing, and we’ll have to wait until CES 2023 on January 5 to find out more.
