Multo: Grow your own vegetables in your home kitchen
With hydroponic cultivation
The French startup company Pret a Pousser presented at IFA 2022, a hydroponic cultivation system with which you can grow vegetables in your kitchen. Specifically, Multo , is a connected piece of furniture that allows families in the city to grow up to 50 edible plants at once.
The company even claims that Multo is 200% more productive than existing home gardens, thanks to its new “ebb and flow” hydroponic technology, which is being used for the first time in a consumer product. Thus, lettuces are twice the size, while tomatoes and peppers produce up to three times more fruit.

Combining wood and metal, the piece of furniture is available with one, two or three shelves. Each shelf has its own soft lighting at the top and the container at the base contains the plant holders. Within two weeks, Multo received pre-orders worth €450,000 in the crowdfunding campaign, which confirms people’s interest in growing their own food, without GMOs, pesticides and other chemicals.
Its price starts from €399 and can reach €999, depending on the layout you choose.
