AMD Ryzen 7000: We learned when the most economical motherboards will be presented
With the B650 chipset
We’ve entered the final stretch for the launch of AMD’s all-new Ryzen 7000 processors , which are expected to hit the market on September 27, featuring the all-new AM5 platform and X670 chipset.
Now, the company has announced a new event, which will surely make happy those who were thinking about upgrading, but have a limited budget. More specifically, on October 4 AMD will hold a special presentation called ‘An Exclusive First Look at B650 and B650E AM5 Motherboards’. The live stream will do exactly what it promises and reveal the most affordable motherboard offerings from Asus, Asrock, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI and other partners that will utilize the B650 and B650E chipsets.
The remarkable thing is that AMD seems to want to lower the overall cost of the platform as soon as possible, since in combination with the high prices of DDR5 memories that are necessary for the new Ryzen, the cache was rising significantly for the average user. In comparison, in the company’s previous generation of processors, the B550 motherboards arrived almost a full year after the corresponding high-end X570 platform, while now we are talking about a difference of weeks.
In fact, it is worth mentioning that unless you want to build something really high-end, the B650 motherboards will probably cover all your needs, since in the case of the B650E there will normally be support for a PCIe 5.0 graphics card and SSD.
For the record, recently MSI had revealed its own high-end proposals for the AM5 platform, with the spearhead, the MEG X670E Godlike, costing $1299.99!
