iPhone: iOS 16 brings what you’ve been asking for for years

Yes, it’s finally coming!

iOS 16 is due to be released sometime in September, as happens every year with Apple ‘s major upgrades . Some features of the new iPhone update are already known, such as the brand new lock screen, but as everything seems, the company will also bring a feature that you have been asking for years.

Notably, Apple released iOS 16 beta 5 a few hours ago, and with it comes a feature that all iPhone users have wanted for years. Of course, we’re talking about the battery percentage, which will now be visible on all iPhones inside the battery icon.

Let us remind you that previously the battery percentage was normally located next to the icon, but Apple had removed it due to space on iPhones that have a “Notch”. Those who have owned iPhones in recent years, to see how much battery they have left, had to swipe from the upper right corner of the screen, so that the percentage can be seen from the “control center”.

Note that battery percentage is currently available on iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone X and XS , but not on iPhone 11, iPhone XR, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini . On these models it may come later or directly in September that iOS 16 will be officially released.

All you have to do is wait until iOS 16 is officially released. However, if you’re a beta user and don’t see the new battery percentage, what you need to do is enable it manually from settings.
